Innocent Bystander Pinot Noir 2010

Total Wine & More, $13.99

Aaron:  Overall, this wine was pretty middle-of-the-road for me.  The nose had a strong, earthy overtone with a bit of cedar bark.  The flavor boasted heavy notes of strawberry flavor – even more than I would expect from a pinot – and this was the primary taste.  I did also note a distinct tingling sensation on the tongue which I credit to the bottle’s youth. 87 points

Teri: The earthy and musky nose on this pinot made me doubt my choice but thankfully it turned out to be very misleading. The flavor of this pinot noir was the classic bright strawberry with some oak that lingered on the taste buds. I categorize this as an easily drinkable wine that is nice to share among those with diverse tastes or who are newer wine drinkers. It also reigns from the Yarra Valley in Australia, a beautiful region (just above Melbourne) that is growing in popularity among the wine community. 88 points
