Gaetano D’ Aquino Pinot Grigio 2011

Trader Joes, $4.49

Aaron: This white had an unexpectedly light smell.  Though I haven’t had many Italian wines, this seemed to stand up to some of the pinot grigios I’ve had.  Particularly, the peach and apricot nose was sweet but tangy.  This sensation was reiterated with the slightly lemony taste which was light and refreshing.  Ripe white fruits and strong green apple completed the palate and I was pleasantly surprised with this lighter wine.  91 points

Teri: For me, this was a pretty standard Pinot Grigio. It contained light flavors of citrus, lemon, and some green apple. The light texture and flavors would complement a spicy meal although it still had too much oak overtones for me to give it a higher rating. Although, for the price this is a great wine. 87 points
