OZV Zinfandel 2009

Cost Plus World Market, $9.99
Total Wine & More, $8.49

Aaron: This zin had a good length of flavor which is always valuable in my opinion but generally lacked the intensity I want from my reds.  The dry bitter smell bursted with bark and raspberries however these were absent from the flavor.  Plum aerated in the mouth while mild tannins mirrored the mild flavor.  88 points

Teri: This wine has the classic smell of Lodi Zin’s: very similar to jammy preserves but it left me wanting a bit more on the taste. It carried the familiar ripe fruits of plum with a hint of chocolate but was a little too dry to win over 90 points with me. If you are starting out on Zinfandel this bottle would be a good one to try. Smooth to drink with a nice lingering finish. 87 points
