Mark West Chardonnay 2010

Total Wine & More, $7.99
BevMo, $8.03

Aaron: This was certainly big for a Chardonnay, but still lacked a little something for me.  The strong potent smell of nuts lends itself well to the rich smooth flavor.  This buttery, lasting sensation was enjoyable, especially on the aftertaste.  Almonds with hints of tangy fruits bled through the big, bold flavor but unfortunately it wasn’t exactly what I was looking for.  Still nice and good for the price.  88 points

Teri: I describe Mark West’s Chardonnay as heavier in feel and taste than most other Chardonnays. Although the smell was acidic and slightly chemical the taste was full with an overabundance of buttery butterscotch and tropical fruits. The front end of the flavor is strong in pineapple and melon with the lingering aftertaste of oak. 89 points
