Aaron:  For a wine to make it into our “Romantic Evening” category, it has to have a good flavor, be flexible for pairing and most importantly, have an attractive label.  This label is an example of something that does not make the cut … a fire-breathing bear?  seriously?  Someone needs to fire their marketer and hire me instead.  Regardless of that tangent, the wine was not bad.  There was a crisp, bark-like smell of green leaves with lots of oak but the flavor was still smooth and buttery.  This was a full wine but not fruity in any sense.  I tasted nuts and honey throughout with a slight tingle on the swallow featuring a medium-long finish.  Though I think they need to reevaluate their marketing strategy, this wine is easy to drink by most people.  89 points

Teri: Toasted Head makes a Chardonnay with a buttery smell and quick legs. The wine itself is smooth and buttery with walnut and butter scotch flavors. In the glass it is full and warm but not overly fruity. This wine would be a great started for a new wine drinker and complement a variety of meals.  90 points
