Grifone Primitivo Puglia 2010

Trader Joes, $3.99

Aaron: This wine gets higher ratings because of it’s price.  While admittedly not very complex, this was unique and high value.  I noted earthy smells of dry brush and rocks like a desert scene with mild woods encircling the nostrils.  The flavor was good and full with mild tannins but not much fruit.  The finish was great in my opinion, featuring smooth vanilla.  92 points

Teri: This was not complex but easy to drink and contained very smooth flavors and tannins. Its slight fruit and earthy tastes would go well with pasta or rich meat meals. This is a great buy for the price from Trader Joe’s. 90 points
