Ken Deis Red Blend 2011

Purchased from Naked Wines, $29.99

Aaron:  I certainly liked this more than Teri but agree the price is a little steep.   The full smell of black currant and fresh leaves wasn’t too overwhelming (but also didn’t impress much).  There was a wide body to this wine with smooth edges and lots of red fruits.  Mild tannins make this nice for pairing, especially with red meats.  89 points

Teri: I was not impressed by this bottle. I could make out some fruit and other characteristics of the wine but it was heavily masked by the over abundance of oak. An overall flavor of Oak and woodsy tastes with berries and clove. Unless you really like heavy oak flavors, stay away from this one. 82 points
