Robert Mondavi Private Selection Pinot Noir 2011

Aaron:  The leather and rose petal nose on this Pinot was unexpected.  Definitely a more full bodied wine than I expected, this had a nice hint of cocoa with a mild flavor.  The mellow tannins flowed over the palate with some berries and earth tones which made for a pleasant, mildly complex taste.  91 points

Teri: Woody smell with a hit of cherry, the medium body of this wine had hints of strawberry, cherry, and coco on the finish. Long, smooth tannins sat on the tongue and the finish faded quickly but had some woody flavors which carried on for a medium duration. Better than some other Robert Mondovi bottles, but not the best Pinot I have ever tasted.  87 points
