Aaron:  There wasa nice mellow nose of fresh fruits and a calm flavor on this dark red, which is very good.  The tannins were a bit rough on the edges but overall created an enjoyable combination of berries, mostly strawberries, and jelly.  Note, this was not “jam”, it was jelly; definitely pair this food.  91 points

Teri: After a common dark fruit smell I was surprised by the abundance of flavor from this wine. This old vine zinfandel carries flavors of chocolate covered cherry and blackberry that merges into smooth oak on the finish. At first nothing too special jumps out at me but once the wine opened up after some time I enjoyed the flavors. The flavors of this wine were much better with a full hearty meal, especially with meat, but I think it will be much better with a few more years in the bottle. 88 points
