Cotes Du Rhone 2012 – Pere Anselme

Cotes Du Rhone 2012Purchased from Cost Plus World Market

Aaron:  Black currant was featured on the nose but was left sadly alone.  The flavor was extremely juicy and slightly bitter due to under-ripe blackberries and raspberries on the aftertaste.  Moderate tannins provide some body but the green vegetables were too faint, making this lacking in complexity.  88 points

Teri: I loved the smell of this wine –chocolate covered cherry with a hint of oak. Aside from the smell the taste was punchy with medium tannins. A burst of peppered raspberry flavor with a lingering finish of green spinach. Not my favorite bottle from France. 84 points
