Burke Cabernet Sauvignon 2013

Heartwood and Oak, $14.99Burke Cabernet Sauvignon

Aaron: I was excited for this bottle, we’d had it for a while.  The nose features berry and mocha with some grapefruit (yes I know this is not a traditional red wine smell).  The flavor was full and pleasant with good body.  Dark berries, raspberries, and wood undertones made for a heavy and slightly chalky texture but this wasn’t too bad.  89 points

Teri: This Cabernet Sauvignon has a jammy blackberry nose which makes way to flavors of rhubarb, oak, and more blackberry on the wine itself. I also tasted some fizzy flavors with spice on the finish along with some subtle black licorice. Easy to drink and still bold but nothing too crazy or interesting that stood out to me. 87 points
