Aaron: This Zin had vanilla and boysenberry on the nose but I was sad to find the flavor was thinner than expected. The slight bitterness goes away while dominant flavors linger halfway down the back of the mouth. Tannins aren’t too heavy but leave some chalk every once in a while. Strawberry and burnt oak came through after some time and this got better as I drank more and noticed more fruits but the first taste was less than exceptional. 88 points
Teri: Zinfandel’s from California’s Lodi have always been a proven go-to for me; you know it will be juicy but also have some uniqueness to it. This Lodi Zin by Rosette carries noticeable flavors of juicy plum and baking spice (cinnamon…mmm). I also tasted overripe raspberry within the flavor profile. With a long finish and a medium-full body, this wine is versatile but stands up to the challenge of hearty dishes. 89 points
