Purchased from the Treveri Tasting Room, $17
Aaron: Melon and cantaloupe made for a bold nose though the bubbles were subdued on this sparkling wine. Cherry and a slightly herbal flavor made for a less-than-sweet but soothing mouthfeel. This was pretty full and reminded me of an off-dry chard. I would definitely recommend visiting the winery! 90 points
Teri: Treveri produces sparkling wines with non-traditional varietals and they do it very well! The family owned establishment has a beautiful tasting room and outdoor seating area where your tasting is complementary–then just purchase what you like! We walked away with only a few bottles, but I would have loved to buy more. The Gewurztraminer sparkling is fresh and crisp with flavors of apricot, pear, and peach. I loved the boldness of the flavors within the wine but yet it still kept its crispness. Too bad you can only get this one from the winery direct. Looks like I will be making more trips to Yakima, WA in my future. 95 points
