Aaron: I love both these varietals so I was really excited for this bottle.  The smell was full with lots of dark fruits and black licorice.  Oakiness rounded out the nose and led to some very noticeable tannins.  The flavor was pretty good with raspberry and a continuation of the licorice, followed by vanilla on the finish.  This is a good bottle and enjoyable based on what I’d expect from these types of grapes but admittedly it’s not the greatest for these varietals.  90 points

Teri: Cute name based on the blend of two “petite/petit” grapes (85% Petite Sirah and 15% Petit Verdot). Typically these grapes are smaller, which is why they are called petite, and carry more intense flavors. On this wine, I smelled mostly red berries with some vanilla and lavender. When sipping this wine, I put it on the heartier side of medium bodied with flavors of leather, dark red berries, and some bell pepper (plus noticeable oak). Semi-chalky tannins the deeper I got into my glass. This wine would be better with food; hearty meat dishes and pasta with red sauces. 89 points
