Lot 18/The Tasting Room, $20/bottle
Aaron: This was pretty solid. Raspberry and blackberry on the nose with lots of vanilla and tarry oak in the flavor. This was generally mellow and very drinkable for a Syrah but still decently full. This is a good middle-of-the-road bottle. 90 points
Teri: True to its heritage, this wine carries all the characteristics of a French red: predominant early and mineral flavors with a hint of subtle red fruits. It has a spicy nose, along with a taste of oak, plum, and tart minerals plus a medium finish. Very easy to drink but make sure you like “French wines.” 88 points
