Lot 18 / The Tasting Room Wine Club
Also available with Hello Fresh
Aaron: This white had a bright smell with lots of mandarin oranges. This persisted on the flavor which was crisp with a hint of sweetness. The sweetness turned almost tart as the flavor dissipated and transformed, unveiling subtle green olives in the background. 89 points
Teri: This white wine has a sweet nose of cantaloupe and a citrus kick with flavors of lemon and almond up front with greenery undertones on the finish. Refreshing and interesting. 90 points
This bottle came with a beautiful fruit arrangement from Harry & David given to us by my friend Sandy.

Aaron: Soft white cherry blossoms and some honeysuckle on the nose of this Pinot Gris. The flavor was pear, with sweet white grape juice. This is easy to drink but a little syrupy and thick. I expected a lighter body. 89 points.
Teri: Peach and pear on the nose with a semi sweet finish. This bottle reminded me of Riesling. I tasted green apple, oak, and Rainer cherry with a long finish and a hint of mineral at the end. Very easy to drink and hearty for a white wine. 89 points and will be favorites of those who like their wine in the sweeter spectrum.

Aaron: Red apple and palm trees cloud the nose and this is a little on the tart side but not bitter. It’s more to say it’s not sweet. I like that this is an easy-to-drink sparkling which can stand up to food and be enjoyed at any time. 89 points
Teri: Full disclaimer, I’m part of the “bubble club” for Treveri. Everything they make is high quality and a fantastic value (a few of their wines are even served at the White House). Their Blanc de Noir carries a nose of rose petals and raisins with flavors of orange peel, red apple, and floral undertones. This bottle is excellent on a warm day or to break out for a celebration (even the small ones). Not too sweet and not too dry, the Goldilocks of Brut sparkling wines. 91 points
Lot 18 / The Tasting Room, $13
Aaron: This was a great bottle, especially for the price. If you want a nice easy going white that is flexible but still enjoyable, go to lot 18 and get this one. The nose was banana-walnut bread with cantaloupe and sparkling vinegar on the flavor. There was also white cherries and butter in the background of this full white. 91 points
Teri: I feel the bottle would pair well with fresh salads and creamy chicken. It has a sweet floral nose and smooth easy taste of cantaloupe, bell pepper, citrus and a hint of oak on the finish. Crisp and clean. Nothing stands out which is extraordinary, but it is enjoyable. 87 points
Lot 18 / The Tasting Room, $17
We have to give a call out to Lot 18 for great customer service on this one. We don’t do this often but felt the need to write the company to let them know this bottle fell well outside our enjoyment spectrum. Without hesitation, Lot 18 refunded us the price of the bottle and asked if there were any others we did not enjoy. Well done and great customer service.
Aaron: This was downright awful. Grapefruit and guava on the nose with palm trees but the flavor is just bad. It tasted like unsweetened lemon juice. There were some unappealing mushrooms which didn’t help the sour look on my face. The issue was there was no good tasting fruit, maybe just some pine cones. Definitely, skip it. 79 points.
Teri: Lemon and stone fruits on the nose with an extremely tart flavor. Short finish and high acidity and lemon flavors made the bottle seem like I was drinking weak lemon juice. Not to my liking. I would say skip this bottle. 81 points
