Aaron: This has tons of tobacco and mushroom on the somewhat metallic nose. The flavor, however, was smooth and easy drinking with subdued plum, cherry, and black fruits. This is mild and absent of any bite. I think of it as fruity tar (That may not sound as appealing as it should). 90 points.
Teri: This is a delicious bottle. Juicy plum and baking spice partner with rich raspberry and sweet oak. It is hearty yet extremely smooth to drink. The smell is even delightful made up of rich nutmeg and chocolate. 90 points
Aaron: If you happen to be in southern Washington, the tasting room is worth a stop, the folks are really friendly. The wine is ok but I probably wouldn’t seek it out. This one had a lot of tobacco and damp oak on the nose. The berries were slightly tart with cranberry and some “prickly” leaves. 88 points
Teri: Trying this wine at the wintery, I made sure to take home a bottle. The wine is made from the juice of the grapes when they are first put into the press. The weight of the load causes some of the juice to ‘free run’ out of the machine. This is captured and then made into the bottle. The result? An intense flavored wine without the heavy tannins. This cab carries flavors of plum and wild berries with a nice herbal undertone. Delightful! 92 points
Aaron: This is unbelievable for a $20 bottle. Fresh tobacco leaves on the nose dance with black currant and vanilla beans. The fruity flavor is mild with good body and appropriate tannins. Lots of cocoa and vanilla make this luscious and easy to drink for hours. Delicious. 92 points
Teri: This bottle has a nose of pepper and bing cherry. The flavor is smooth but hearty, good tannins, and I could taste juicy berry, cassis, and a little bit of leather. Great quality for a 20 dollar bottle. 91 points
Aaron: This bottle is worth seeking out and finding. There is lots of oak on the nose with mulberry in the background. This is ALL about the flavor. Super full with lots of smooth vanilla and a creamy mouthfeel. This transitions to a nice brown sugar and maple syrup sweetness which isn’t overpowering. Really good. 92 points
Teri: This is a beautiful cab with a nose of cranberry and oak that opens to hearty flavors of black currant, blackberry, vanilla, and oak. Very easy drinking but still bold. This wine could stand up to hearty meat meals but is also delicious enough to enjoy on its own. Overall, quality bottle to keep on hand. 90 points
