Aaron:  Dark bark and cocoa on the nose predicated an extremely fruity flavor.  Tons of rich, dark blackberries overpower the taste buds and slide away on a smooth velvety finish of vanilla.  This is just a luscious, juicy wine.   91 points

Teri: Juicy raspberry nose with flavors of blended cherry, black pepper, and more raspberry. Bold and flavorful with hearty but smooth tannins. This one is versatile enough to enjoy on its own but will also stand up to your hearty meat meals. 90 points

Aaron: This was one of four wines in our blind tasting for fun.  It ranked second for me because of its solid flavor and good finish.  I can’t say I would run out and buy it again but it was pleasant.  89 points

Teri: This zinfandel has a sweeter blueberry nose and flavors of cocoa, leather, oak and dark raspberry. Full bodied with pleasant medium tannins and a smooth finish. 89 points

Aaron:  When looking for an easy-to-find, affordable wine, I generally trust Gnarly head and this was no different.  Big fruity nose (as expected) and a juicy, easy drinking flavor.  There was still some good thickness and overwhelming berries, featuring black, red, and purple fruits.  This is not complex by any measure but it’s flexible and a good pick up, making it a great value in my opinion.  92 points

Teri: Slight tartness on the first sip leads the way to fill flavors but soft tannins and high drinkability. I taste mostly blackberry with some woody oak. It is rich but not overwhelmingly complex. If you want a fully bodied wine which is a good value at a decent price, this is your go-to. 88 points

Aaron:  The nose on this bigger red smelled like muddied tree bark with damp rocks and mushrooms.  The flavor was large and smooth with mild tannins and mostly fruity flavors like I’d expect from the varietal.  The finish featured some black fruit crushed on granite.  90 points

Teri: Bright red fruits on the nose with juicy rasberries and blackberries following on the taste. There was noticable oak throughout and a small hint of plum. I would classify this bottle as having medium tannins with a slight bite but overall smooth. 88 points
