Aaron: I continue to enjoy bottles from La Crema.  For reasonable prices, these are consistently solid.  This bottle had guava, cantaloupe, and pretty much any other tropical fruit you can imagine on the nose.  The flavor was buttery and light in flavor with bananas, orange peel, and a slight nuttiness.  Some vanilla countered a light punch on the finish, but this was not harsh in any way.  90 points

Teri: The smell is filled with honey and cream and the match the flavors on the wine. I tasted buttery, creamy vanilla with some mild oak. Extremely easy drinking. It’s not too complex but full of flavor. Easy to find; Keep this one on hand if you like buttery chardonnay. It would also make a good white sangria too. 91 points

Aaron: This sav blanc has bright melon and cucumber on the nose with a light flavor.  Interestingly, there was no taste on the tip of the tongue, but lots going on on the back and sides.  This was an interesting note as I enjoyed the vanilla and almond flavor. 90 points

Teri: St. Francis makes a quality Sauvignon Blanc. I smelled honey, lemon, and almond alongside flavors of tart citrus, cashew, and grass. Light in body and crisp. This bottle is bound to please multiple wine drinkers. 87 points

Starret Merlot 2014

Starret MerlotLot 18/The Tasting Room, $16/bottle

Aaron:  This was a good middle-of-the-road bottle for me but nothing to go bonkers for.  The smoked burgundy and blackberry smell also featured a hint of jasmine.  I enjoyed the medium-full body with a little bitter strawberry, rose petals, and cherry rounding out the palate.  89 points.

Teri: This merlot has flavors of mellow juniper berry with a leafy finish. Mild bitter oak melts away to smooth tannins on the finish and a velvety mouth feel. Easy to drink and not too complex. Overall, very approachable. 88 points

Sola Syrah 2012

Aaron: This was ok but not my favorite.  A peppery pomegranate nose was layered with black granite, porous countertops.  The flavor was bold and a bit shocking at first with more tartness than smooth vanilla.  Prominent spices, chili, and pepper.  88 points

Teri: This wine was easy to drink but not a favorite flavor profile of mine (earthy/mineral characteristics). I tasted muted raspberry, smoke and herbs on the wine with additional minerals lingering on the finish. 86 points
